Ghana is a country of Western Africa located at the edge of the Gulf of Guinea. The countries bordering on Ghana are the Ivory Coast in the west, Burkina Faso in north and Togo in the east. Its capital is the town of Accra. Ghana also underwent slavery: one can always visit the forts on the coast, of which Elmina. In spite of a law prohibiting it the slavery of the children persists, particularly in the area of the lake Volta.
